Nothing is required, but these speed things up: what the door is doing (a bang, a lean, a whir, nothing at all), whether it is a one-car, two-car or golf-cart door, the opener brand if you can see it, a photo from inside the garage, your community's name, and the gate code if there is one. If a vehicle is trapped or the door is stuck open, say so first.
After you call
A technician calls back to set a window, the same day for a stuck door. On arrival they release the opener, lift the door by hand, check springs, cables, drums, rollers, track, photo-eyes and the opener, and write the price down before starting. For a replacement door or a new opener you get a written quote, free, that holds for 30 days.
